On December 17, 2007, the Ukrainian Embassy in the UAE hosted a reception in Abu Dhabi on the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the UAE, as well as the celebration of the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Among those invited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the UAE, Sergey Pasko and the military attache of the Ukrainian Embassy Anatoly Vasilenko, there were representatives of the UAE government, ambassadors, consuls, military and naval attaches from diplomatic missions around the world, especially important guests and the press. In his speech to the audience, Sergei Pasko noted that 15 years is a long way that has led the two countries to establish friendly and mutually beneficial bilateral relations that have only strengthened over the years. The hymns of the UAE and Ukraine were sounded, the festive cake was solemnly cut. The reception was held in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
