IN NOVEMBER 2007, under the patronage of Dr. Hassan Abdullah Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the largest and middle-sized arsenal was held in Bahrain. MANY EXPERTS COMPARE THIS EXPOSITION BY ITS SCALES AND SIGNIFICANCE WITH ANNUAL HOUR SHOW IN THE SWISS BASEL.
The award ceremony for the best jewelers and watchmakers from the Premier Middle East Watches, Jewelery & Pens Awards was held as part of the exhibition. At the gala dinner and award ceremony, which took place in the most prestigious hotel in the Kingdom of Ritz Carlton, as well as at the annual Academy Award "Oscar", world celebrities, members of the royal family, especially important guests, nominees - jewelery and watch professionals were invited industries, members of the government of Bahrain, representatives of the international press.
All guests and nominees for the award noted the rapid development of the jewelry and watch industry in the markets of the Middle East region, which is why the Jewelery Arabia exhibition, held for the third time, attracted great attention. And the award ceremony was a reflection of today's trends in the world of watches and jewelry, and, in fact, an excellent indicator of public opinion.
Awards to watchmakers were presented in ten categories. Patek Philippe World Time Ref. 5130 R-W won the nomination “Best watches with multi-watch zones”, Audemars Pieguet, Jules Audemars Manual Winding Tourbillon were named “Best Turbillon”. In the category "Best Classic Watches" the winner was the model Panerai, Radomir 1936; "Best Jewelry Watches" - Chanel, J12; "The best watch with technological innovation" - Hublot, Mag Bang; "Best Sports Watches" - Harry Winston, Ocean Diver. The title "Best Men's Watches" was received by IWC Watches, Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Ltd Kurt Klaus; "Best Women's Watches" - Zenith / LVMH, Glam Rock. In the nomination "Best Chronograph" the first prize went to Chopard, Mille Miglia Jacky Ickx Edition 4, and in the category "Watches with the best design" Jeager LeCoultre, Master Compressor Extreme LAB won. Jewelry was also ranked in various categories. Piaget's Limelight Party Jewelery collection was named “Best Contemporary Jewelry” and Cartier’s Tsar Necklace was the leader in the Best Diamond Necklace category. “The most colorful jewelry set” was a set of earrings and a Hyderabad necklace from Van Cleef & Arpels. Damiani bracelet was named "Best Fashion Jewelry" and Al Zain Necklace was named "Best Islamic Jewelry".
Companies producing the best writing instruments also competed in several categories, and, as it should have been, the undisputed leaders were such well-known brands that produce, along with other products, ballpoint and fountain pens such as Montblanc, Caran d'Ache, Montegrappa, Chopard and Cartier .
