Dewan Architects & Engineers has signed a contract for the design and construction of the Premier Inn Hotel at the Abu Dhabi International Airport. The opening of the hotel with 300 rooms, the construction of which is invested more than 100 million dirhams (US $ 27 million), is planned in 2012. The hotel will be located opposite the new building of the third airport terminal.
The first overseas hotel, Premier Inn, one of the leading hotel brands in the UK, opened in Dubai in April 2008. Today, the Premier Inn operates three Dubai hotels, and the company plans to further expand its hotel base in the UAE.
Dewan also designed the Premier Inn for the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC). This hotel is currently under construction and will open by the end of 2011.
