Nazarbayev meets with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev held an expanded meeting with Crown Prince Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

During the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi examined issues of cooperation between the two countries in trade, economic, investment, energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Topical issues on the international agenda were also discussed. Following the negotiations, the following documents were signed:

  • Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on the mutual provision for free use of land in the city of Astana and the city of Abu Dhabi for the needs of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the United Arab Emirates and the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • Protocol on amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on mutual visa-free travel for citizens who hold diplomatic passports;
  • Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Civil Society of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the General Agency for Islamic Affairs and Waqfs of the United Arab Emirates;
  • Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between ASTANA EXPO-2017 and Bureau EXPO DUBAI 2020;
  • Memorandum of Understanding between the Akimat of the Mangistau Region and DP World FZE;
  • Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates on the establishment of a joint commission on consular issues;
  • Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Economy of the United Arab Emirates on cooperation in the field of tourism;
  • Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Federal Agency for Land and Water Transport of the United Arab Emirates on international road transport of passengers and goods.
